  Part of

  Autumn.

  And the chilliness

  It brings!

  Oh gosh

  Autumn is my

  Favorite month

  Of them all.

  Ah November the

  For fall and

  Winter.

   

  A little colder

  But still

  Just as

  Nice.

   

  Yes Jay I

  Will be home

  For thanksgiving.

   

  I always am

  No matter

  How far away

  I am.

   

  Of course

  You being

  Home this soon

  Makes it easier

  For me to

  Mail two letters

  At once.

   

  And yes tell

  Mom I'll help

  With the

  Turkey and

  Stuffing.

   

  This year

  I'm thankful

  For my family

  The few friends

  I have and

  For meeting

  Joy.

   

  As cliche as

  It sounds

  And is she

  Has made

  A difference

  Now.

  Well aren't

  The heart breaker

  Yeah I've heard

  All the stories

  About the

  Girls that

  Like you

  But you turn

  Down.

   

  Hell at thanksgiving

  Time you

  Were charming

  All the girls

  In town.

   

  Even some of

  The guys

  Too.

   

  And then

  You went

  And disappointed

  Them saying

  You had a

  Girlfriend.

   

  Is this true?

   

  Or are you

  Just telling

  Lies?

   

  If you do

  Have a girlfriend

  Then I would

  Like to meet

  Her sometime.

   

  On a different

  Note I

  Will not

  Be coming

  Home for 

  Christmas.

   

  I know

  It will

  Disappoint

  Mom and

  Dad.

   

  But they will

  Understand.

   

  I'm going

  To spend

  Joy so

  We're not

  Alone.

  I've been busy

  All week

  Long.

  Not very

  Many decorations

  To put up

  But I think

  It turned out

  Okay.

  Date with

  Joy.

  I'm sorry

  Didn't work

  Out with

  The girl

  You were

  Seeing.

  She sounded

  Nice.

  I know it's

  Going to

  Be different

  Without

  All of

  Us together.

  But mom

  And dad

  Will understand.

  We are grown

  Adults after

  All.

  Have a wonderful Christmas!

  But it's not

  Like I fall

  Everyone

  I meet.

   

  She's a really

  Great person

  Once you get

  To know her.

   

  And if you

  Got the chance

  To meet her

  Then you

  Would understand.

   

  But we haven't

  Exactly talked

  About our

  Families in

  Depth.

   

  I know enough

  To get her

  Childhood was

  Far from

  Good.

   

  However it's

  Not my place

  To tell her

  Story to

  Others.

   

  Joy's a good

  Person.

   

  And so much

  Stronger then

  She knows.

  I am currently

  Sitting at home

  With Joy.

  We are watching

  The countdown.

  I bet you're

  Off at some

  Party or on

  A date with

  Someone.

  You always did

  Manage to

  Make plans on

  New years eve.

  Like I said

  Before you

  Can be charming

  When you want.

  But mostly

  Annoying.

  It's strange not

  Being home and

  Watching this

  With our parents.

  A lot's changed

  These past

  Months.

  I just love

  Rainy days.

  But then I

  There's just

  Something peaceful

  About them.

  Sometimes they

  A sleepy mood.

  Other times I

  Explain it.

  Remember when

  We were little

  And I ran

  Outside in

  The pouring rain?

  Mom was so

  Mad.

  Grounded me for

  A week.

  Hard to believe

  It's been one

  Year since

  I moved

  Here.

  And it's been

  Two years since

  You moved to

  Cali hasn't

  It?

  And one year

  With Joy.

  So many

  Memories in

  One year.

  I've noticed

  Are becoming

  Fewer and farther

  Apart.

  I know your

  Busy but

  You seem distant.

  Is there something

  You want to

  Tell me?

  I'm always here

  If you need

  Or want

  To talk.

  At home.

  Do you remember

  When we used

  To pick

  Dandelion puffs?

  We would make

  Wishes.

  But maybe

  They never

  Came true

  Mostly because

  We always told

  Each other

  Our wishes

  Today.

  Well I found

  Some puffs

  Today and

  Made a wish.

  But I'm not

  Telling you

  What it is

  Or else it

  Won't come

  True.

  Okay I know

  This is going

  To sound crazy.

  But we've been together

  For three years

  Now.

  I know we

  Don't live

  Together yet.

  And you think

  That's strange

  But I don't

  Care.

  I'm going to

  Ask Joy

  To marry me.

  I can just

  Imagine you

  Shaking your

  Head.

  I know I

  Ran out on

  The last

  Wedding.

  And there

  Were reasons

  For doing

  So.

  I love her

  Jay.

  And I'm going

  To ask her

  Soon.

  I already bought

  A ring.

  Get better.

  I know you

  Hoped I

  Would.

  But a miracle

  Didn't happen.

  I tried so hard

  But I'm

  Getting tired.

  Hopefully you

  Never read this

  But my hope

  Grows weaker

  Day by day.
